The City of Dreams Manila Grand Ballroom was transformed into a futuristic world of street fashion recently through the PlayScape by OKGames event, starring Miss Universe Philippines 2023 titleholder, singer, actress, and model Michelle Marquez Dee.
MMD’s star power captivated the audience with her scene-stealing finale walk for the OKGames PlayScape Fashion Show. As the official brand ambassador of OKGames, Michelle exuded confidence, swagger, and effortless grace as she took to the runway in a striking and edgy look. The ensemble’s neutral palette and contemporary silhouette perfectly complemented her signature blonde bob, creating a polished finale that left a lasting impression.
Fashion took center stage throughout the evening as guests explored the dedicated MN+LA merchandise booth. The popular Filipino streetwear brand showcased its collection of graphic tees, heavyweight hoodies, and relaxed fit apparel, allowing attendees to experience the brand beyond the runway. The specially designed booth complemented the overall PlayScape experience while providing guests an exclusive look at the latest pieces featured during the fashion show.
MMD gushed over the Filipino fashion scene represented by the brand, sharing in an interview, “I think Filipino fashion deserves a spot on the global stage. Definitely, we have so many Filipino designers and brands that deserve to be recognized internationally. The Philippines is a hub for fashion, and you really see it in all of our identities, in what we wear. There’s so much more confidence and fearlessness in our fashion scene, and it showcases who we are with what we wear.”
The celebrated beauty queen also shared her thoughts on one of the greatest fashion hacks, saying, “I mean, honestly, fashion really is an experience. Just try and try and see what makes you feel good. I think the common misconception is you have to be uncomfortable for certain fashion looks, but you can always be comfortable.”
