PlayTime Entertainment continues its commitment to supporting the movie industry. Philippine Movie Press Club and PlayTime Entertainment officially signed a partnership agreement on October 1, 2026, sealing the deal as its “Official Entertainment Partner” in the upcoming awards.

The signing ceremony was held at the PlayTime Entertainment Office, with PlayTime Entertainment President Crisanto Roy Alcid and PMPC President Fernan De Guzman, standing in as witnesses were PlayTime Entertainment Spokesperson Adela Mae Marshall, and PMPC Executive Producer Manuel Tan (Jojo Mendrez) – putting pen to paper for the 42nd PMPC Star Awards for Movies. The PlayTime Entertainment group has supported the PMPC across its various formats (Movies, Television and Music) for three years now.
A strategic move for fan engagement
The partnership marks a significant milestone for both organizations as they aim to deepen fan engagement and bring a more interactive approach to one of the country’s most prestigious film award ceremonies.
“This partnership is a proud moment for PlayTime Entertainment. We’re honored to support the PMPC Star Awards for Movies and help celebrate the incredible talent and storytelling that defines Philippine cinema. Our goal is to amplify the voices of fans who are the lifeblood of showbiz,” said Alcid.
For De Guzman, the collaboration is a natural evolution for the awards.
“We’re thrilled to partner with PlayTime Entertainment again for this year’s Star Awards for Movies, they have supported us for three consecutive years now, and we are very grateful. Their commitment in entertainment and direct connection with fans aligns perfectly with our goal of making the awards more accessible and engaging for the modern audience,” De Guzman said.
PlayTime Fans’ Favorite Award
As Official Entertainment Partner, PlayTime Entertainment will present the PlayTime Fans’ Favorite Award at the awards night on October 25, 2026 at Winford Manila.
The PlayTime Fans’ Favorite voting campaign will run on the PlayTime website, www.playtime.ph, from October 12 to October 21, with October 21 to 25 allocated for vote counting and verification, giving fans a direct say in recognizing their favorite film of the year.
