HANAPBUHAY, HANAPBUKAS, an initiative led by Advocacy Partners Asia announces its official launch. The initiative is a free, multi-group employment ecosystem built on Facebook that connects Filipino job seekers and employers in real time. The platform launches as a direct, person-to-person alternative to paid recruitment channels, subscription-based job boards, and commercial hiring intermediaries that have long defined the cost of finding work or filling a position in the Philippines.
HANAPBUHAY, HANAPBUKAS is structured as a network of four specialized Facebook Groups, each designed to serve a distinct segment of the Filipino workforce. The flagship group, Internships.ph, is dedicated to student applicants and fresh graduates seeking their first professional foothold. The remaining groups; Digital Marketing and Social Media Jobs, Marketing, Advertising and PR Jobs, and Human Resources, Accounting and IT Jobs, extend the network’s reach to cover a broader range of employment needs, from entry-level roles to experienced professional placements, ensuring that no segment of the Filipino job market is left without a dedicated space.
The network operates entirely on goodwill. There are no subscription fees for job seekers, no premium placement options for employers, no ad spend required to reach candidates, and no recruiters collecting a cut between a company and the person it hires. Every connection made within HANAPBUHAY, HANAPBUKAS happens directly, between the Filipino who needs a job and the organization that needs to fill one.
This model addresses a persistent structural problem in Philippine employment. Many of the most capable Filipino job seekers, particularly fresh graduates and those transitioning careers, are priced out of premium job platforms or lost in algorithmically managed pipelines that favor paid listings. Employers on the other end, especially small businesses and community organizations, often cannot afford the recruitment infrastructure that larger corporations take for granted. HANAPBUHAY, HANAPBUKAS removes that barrier entirely.
The four groups are moderated to maintain the quality and safety of conversations and listings. Members are expected to post in good faith, engage respectfully, and represent themselves and their organizations honestly. The community standards are designed to protect both job seekers and employers from bad-faith actors, making the network not just free but trustworthy.
