Rooted in Care: Ayala Malls Hosts Meta’s Family Safety Showcase at Glorietta

From October 26 to 30, Glorietta opens its doors to parents and teens for Meta’s free, interactive activities on digital well-being

Steeped in a longstanding commitment to look out for the communities it serves, Glorietta by Ayala Malls is stepping up to champion modern family well-being by hosting Meta’s flagship interactive showcase “Digital Dialogue in Real Life: Safety Starts with Conversation (DDIRL)” from October 26 to 30.

The week kicks off on October 26 at Glorietta Palm Drive Activity Center with a multisectoral forum bringing together educators, youth advocates, and government leaders to underscore that protecting young people online is a shared community responsibility.

The interactive exhibit will move to Level 1 of Glorietta from October 27 to 30, and is open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Admission is free.

Bringing online safety into an approachable public setting, the Meta DDIRL exhibit transforms what can often be awkward dinner table lectures into engaging, interactive family experiences:

  • Guided conversation walkthroughs:  Immersive visual prompts and activities that help parents and teens unpack everyday digital experiences, from managing social media feeds and online peer interactions to spotting and responding to cyber threats.
  • Built-in safety in action:  Live demonstrations of practical safeguards, including Meta’s Teen Accounts, parental supervision tools, and age-appropriate privacy settings.
  • Direct Partner resources: Free educational material and support booths from DepEd and the Stairway Foundation (featuring modules from the Kaagapay Program), the National Youth Commission (NYC), and the Psychological Association of the Philippines (PAP).

“At Ayala Malls, our spaces are intentionally designed as extensions of the Filipino home–a trusted ‘third space’ devoted to nurturing the people and relationships that walk through our doors,” said Mae Dichupa, Asset Management Portfolio Head, Makati & BGC, Ayala Malls.

“Looking after today’s families means safeguarding both their everyday comfort and their digital well-being.  By opening Glorietta to this vital dialogue, we are providing a warm, neutral ground where parents and teens can step away from their personal screens, listen to each other and build better habits together,” she added.

Make meaningful connection part of your week. Drop by Meta DDIRL interactive exhibit and spend the day exploring Glorietta’s family-friendly dining, shopping and leisure spaces.
