This is the fifth consecutive year DHL Express has topped the list in the Philippines
DHL Express, the world’s leading international express service provider, has once again been certified as a Great Place To Work® in the Philippines. This recognition is awarded by the Great Place To Work® Institute, the global authority on company culture, employee experience, and leadership behaviors. This certification highlights DHL Express’ commitment to providing an exceptional working environment for its employees, having been certified since 2017 and consistently holding the number one spot for the past five consecutive years.
This year’s result shows that 98% of DHL Express employees agreed that the company is a great workplace compared to 65% of employees at a typical company in the Philippines.
“It is an honor to be recognized once again as the number one great place to work. We are proud to be the employer of choice for our dedicated employees, and we are committed to fostering a supportive workplace built on “respect and results”. By respecting each individual, we cultivate an environment where everyone can thrive. Witnessing our employees grow as they realize their full potential is something close to my heart,” said Nigel Lockett, DHL Express Philippines Country Manager.
The Great Place To Work® assessment process is based on its Culture Brief™ (25%) and research-backed employee survey, Trust Index™(75%).
DHL Express has implemented many workplace initiatives for its employees in the Philippines. The Jobs Lab PH 2.0 program fosters internal knowledge sharing, enabling employees to learn about different organizational roles and how to execute them successfully. The company is focused on internal growth and employee development. As of March, the internal hire rate was at 43%. DHL Express also actively invests in female leadership through “Shift Up a Gear”, a program designed for women with leadership potential, contributing to 46% of its managers being female. To further support leaders, the leadership learning module provides training and refreshers on performance management tools.
Additionally, DHL Express recognizes the importance of employee well-being through its health and wellness ambassadors. These representatives partner with the employee engagement team to spearhead initiatives like walk and run challenges, financial and mental health talks, blood donation drives, and sports events. Their efforts have earned the Philippines team gold in the company’s global health and wellbeing program.
Making it to the Great Place To Work® list cements DHL Express’ position not only as a logistics leader but also as an employer of choice in the Philippines, dedicated to its employees’ well-being and professional growth. This commitment is one of DHL Group’s four bottom lines as it believes an emphasis on people can provide great service quality and excellent customer service quality.
