Corporate Guarantee (CG), a non-life insurance company, took part in the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) Ready for School 2026 (RFS 2026) program, in support of the Department of Education’s initiative to strengthen school readiness by ensuring public schools are better equipped to support both teachers and learners ahead of the new academic year.

“School readiness goes beyond preparing classrooms, it is about ensuring that students are protected and supported so learning can continue with fewer disruptions and greater peace of mind for families. Through our continued partnership with the Philippine Business for Social Progress, we aim to contribute in a more meaningful way by helping create learning environments that are not only prepared, but also safer and more resilient for every child,” said Ched Limson, Chief Operating Officer of Corporate Guarantee.

As schools and communities prepare for a new academic year, school readiness often focuses on classroom repairs, learning materials, and facility improvements. Corporate Guarantee sought to contribute from a different perspective, helping ensure that students are protected from unforeseen incidents that may affect their well-being and ability to continue learning.

Instead of providing a traditional cash donation, Corporate Guarantee leveraged its expertise as an insurer to provide a customized personal accident insurance package for 300 selected learners from Grades 1 to 3 at Highway Hills Integrated School in Mandaluyong. The initiative demonstrates how insurance can serve as a practical tool for community support, extending protection to students and providing added peace of mind to their families.

Under the coverage, each student received accidental death and dismemberment benefits of PHP 50,000, medical reimbursement of PHP 2,000, animal bite coverage of PHP 2,000, and burial assistance of PHP 2,000, with an annual premium of PHP 100 per student, inclusive of taxes.

Now in its third consecutive year of participation, CG’s involvement in PBSP’s flagship back-to-school initiative reflects its sustained commitment to supporting public school communities, following earlier engagements at Placido del Mundo Elementary School in 2024 and Balara Elementary School in 2025.

The initiative was supported by 15 employee volunteers from across Corporate Guarantee. Beyond supporting on-site activities, the volunteer effort provided employees with an opportunity to contribute to a shared cause, strengthening camaraderie and reinforcing the company’s culture of service.

During the official handover ceremony, Corporate Guarantee and PBSP formally presented the Certificate of Insurance Coverage to Highway Hills Integrated School, symbolizing the protection extended to 300 learners under the program. The school, in turn, awarded Corporate Guarantee a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of its continued support for education and community development, reflecting the shared commitment of the private sector, civil society, and schools in helping students start the academic year prepared and protected.

“By combining education support with protection initiatives, we hope to contribute not only to learning continuity but also to the overall well-being and security of students and their families. We are honored to continue supporting PBSP’s Ready for School program and look forward to creating a lasting impact in more communities in the years ahead,” added Limson.
