Winford Resort and Casino Manila (WRCM) continues its legacy as Manila’s Home of OPM, Showcasing the Raw and Resonant Sounds of Mindanao’s Rising Stars
As part of its enduring mission to promote and preserve Original Pilipino Music (OPM), Winford Resort & Casino Manila (WRCM) is proud to present a one-night-only performance by viral sensation EastSide Band on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the Hippodrome Bar & Lounge located on the 2nd floor of WRCM in Sta. Cruz, Manila.
From a humble terrace in Mindanao to the hearts of millions online, EastSide Band has captivated audiences with their acoustic takes on classic hits. With more than 24 million views for their rendition of How Deep Is Your Love and a widely shared cover of Kiss Me, Kiss Me by Sarah Geronimo, the group’s sincerity and stripped-down style have made them a standout voice in today’s OPM landscape.
Now, their signature “veranda sessions” take center stage at WRCM—solidifying the venue’s reputation as the beating heart of OPM in Manila.

Formed in 2010 and composed of Mark Anthony Uy (lead vocals), Rashad Macaagir (lead guitar), David De Pedro (piano), Jeffry Araneta (drums), Edgardo Solana Jr. (bass), and Nasher Maliga Abas (acoustic guitar/vocals), the band started sharing videos in 2018. Their simple, heartfelt covers resonated deeply, leading to national recognition, including a memorable performance with Piolo Pascual and Sarah Geronimo on ASAP Natin ‘To in 2019.
In addition to their viral covers, EastSide Band has released original music like Meron Pa Ba, a touching ballad about the quest for true love, penned by frontman Mark Anthony Uy.
As WRCM celebrates its 8th year of being a platform for local musical excellence, this May’s performance by EastSide Band underscores its commitment to nurturing Filipino artistry and reviving appreciation for homegrown talent. The event will begin at 8:00 PM, with doors opening at 7:30 PM, offering guests an unforgettable evening of heartfelt music and authentic storytelling in an intimate, upscale setting.
