Popstar royalty Sarah Geronimo shared that while she is still in the adjustment period in her new role as wife and homemaker, she enjoys her married life and running her own household.
“Everything is an adjustment period. I mentioned in one interview na medyo na-expedite ang aking adulting (I mentioned in one interview that I had to expedite my adulting),” she said. “Ngayon mas hands-on ka na sa laman ng pantry mo, even ‘yung meal plan. Iisipin mo na ngayon hindi lang dapat masarap ‘yung pagkain mo, dapat healthy din (Now, you have to be hands-on with what’s in your pantry, even your meal plan. You have to keep in mind not just the taste of your food, but if it’s healthy as well).”
Sarah also shared that she is happy and grateful that Hanabishi came into her life when she was about to get married as it helped her adjust to her new home life. Her favorite Hanabishi appliances as of the moment are the stand mixer and hand mixer as she has recently tried her hand at baking and cooking.
“Noon talagang nai-intimidate ako pag sinabing baking kasi may mga measurements kailangan accurate, kailangan precise. Madali naman pala basta susundin mo lang ‘yung recipe tapos meron pa akong stand mixer from Hanabishi na talagang gamit na gamit ko sa pagbe-bake ko (Before, I was really intimidated with baking because it required precise and accurate measurements. It’s actually easy as long as you follow the recipe),” she said.
When it comes to cooking, Sarah usually prefers Filipino dishes. She has made her own kare-kare, pinakbet, bangus sisig, and tuna empanada.
Apart from her home life, Sarah is also busy with her career. Recently, she filmed a music video with Hanabishi which shows her singing and dancing to a song that highlights how the company provides products that are reliable and affordable.
Since being uploaded last October 11, the video has garnered 222,000+ views and 1200+ shares as of November 5. The hashtag HanabishiKapartner SARAH G has likewise ranked seventh on Twitter, with more than 10,000 tweets, when it was first released.
The ‘80s-inspired music video was choreographed by Sherwin Casepe, with G-force Femmes Grace and Evita dancing along with Geronimo. It showcases some of Hanabishi’s top-selling appliances and conveys how the local appliance maker is everyone’s reliable partner at home and in business.
In shooting the music video, Sarah and the production team had to observe health and safety protocols.
“We were more careful than ever. May mga safety measures na kailangan gawin, like everyone merong antigen test to ensure na COVID-free ang environment natin. Even ‘yung mga utensils na ginagamit na-sterilize and disinfected dapat. We ourselves kailangan mag-alcohol at maghugas ng kamay (There were safety measures that we need to observe to ensure that our environment is COVID-free. Even the utensils that we use were sterilized and disinfected. We ourselves need to use alcohol and wash our hands),” Geronimo revealed.
She added that shoots these days are actually easier since everybody is careful and want to go home the soonest.
Meanwhile, Cherish Ong-Chua, Vice President for Finance and Marketing of Hanabishi Appliances, expressed the company’s excitement on these new projects with Geronimo.
“We are happy to be able to continue our partnership with Sarah. We are glad Sarah can connect to our market, the young female homemakers, who are looking for appliances that they can rely on for their everyday and business needs. For the past months, we have experienced a surge in interest from those who are starting home-based businesses, and we are really happy that they have chosen our products to help them kick start their entrepreneurial endeavors,” she said.
