The highly anticipated Palawan Open 2026 officially concluded an outstanding 11-day run at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, further cementing its reputation as one of the country’s premier tennis tournaments. Held from May 21 to 31, the competition brought together some of the finest local and international tennis talents, delivering world-class competition, inspiring displays of sportsmanship, and unforgettable moments on the court.

Christopher Papa reigned supreme in the Men’s Singles division, defeating AJ Lim to claim top honors at the Palawan Open 2026.

A significant milestone for Philippine tennis, the Palawan Open 2026 showcased elite-level competition across multiple divisions, drawing athletes, coaches, tennis enthusiasts, and supporters from across the country and beyond. From the opening matches to the thrilling championship finals, the tournament highlighted the growing strength of Philippine tennis while providing a valuable platform for emerging and established players alike.

As the principal driving force behind the event, the Palawan Group of Companies utilized the tournament to champion grassroots sports development and promote holistic wellness, creating opportunities for athletes to pursue excellence and reach their full potential.

Castro.

The tournament concluded with a series of impressive championship performances. In the Women’s Singles division, Tennielle Madis of Cotabato captured the title after defeating Marian Capadocia in a hard-fought final. Fil-Am standout Christopher Papa emerged victorious in the Men’s Singles division, overcoming AJ Lim to claim the championship crown.

From the Palawan Group of Companies, Mr. Bernard V. Kaibigan, Chief Marketing Officer, and Mr. Miguel Mangabat, PalawanPay Marketing Manager; from Gentry Timepieces, Mr. Hayb Anzures; from PHILTA, Hon. Congressman Eric Olivarez; and special guests Indian National Coach Yatharth Bhardwaj and His Excellency Ambassador Shri Harsh Kumar Jain, Ambassador of India to the Philippines, graced the event, where Papa and Alcantara were awarded champions in the Men’s Doubles division of the tournament.

Papa also showcased his versatility in the Men’s Doubles division, teaming up with Francis Casey Alcantara to defeat Eric Jed Olivarez and Nilo Ledama, 7-6, 6-3. In the Women’s Doubles event, Tennielle Madis continued her dominant run alongside Stefi Marithe Aludo, securing a commanding 6-0, 6-2 victory over sisters Kaye-Ann and Mica Emana. Meanwhile, Francis Casey Alcantara and Marian Capadocia captured the Mixed Doubles title after edging out the pair of Tennielle Madis and Ronard Joven in a thrilling 6-2, 4-6, 16-14 championship match.

From May 21 to 31 at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, the Palawan Open 2026 delivered 11 days of elite tennis action, culminating in the awarding of winners after intense battles between local and international players.
