SAFC in collaboration with Pasig LGU extended financial aid to Sagip Batampalengke, an organization saving street children.

Sagip Batampalengke is a non-governmental and nonprofit organization dedicated to helping hundreds of children in Pasig, mostly street children in public markets, receive education, free tutorials, school supplies, foods, and values formation.

Most of the children’s parents work as market vendors, garbage collectors, or street scavengers. They suffer child labor due to financial hardship—choosing between school and helping their families make ends meet.

The financial assistance provided by SAFC will allow Sagip Batampalengke to reach more children, offering them the mentorship and resources they need to break free from the cycle of poverty.

Recognizing this reality, SAFC, with the support of Pasig City Councilor Marion Rosalio “Maro” Martires, has provided financial aid to help Sagip Batampalengke continue its mission of nurturing young minds and giving them the opportunity for a better future.

“The success of Sagip Batampalengke and other programs for underprivileged children depends on the strength of collaborative efforts,” Marites said. “SAFC’s support demonstrates how corporate entities can be powerful allies in building a more progressive and compassionate city. We hope this partnership inspires more organizations to step forward and contribute to making Pasig a city that truly cares for its people.”
