In line with its commitment to be of service to the Filipino public, its hospitals, and its government during the coronavirus pandemic, SM Foundation recently donated Personal Protective Equipment and medical supplies to hospitals in Cavite and Rizal.
These include PPEs, N95 and surgical masks, gloves, raincoats, goggles, as well as alcoholand hygiene kits, which are part of the P170 million SM has allocated for this purpose.Among the hospitals that received the donations is Southern Tagalog Regional Hospital in Bacoor, Cavite which was formerly upgraded into a General Hospital, recognizing the health needs and aspiring to make health services readily available and accessible 24/7 to the residents of the whole province.

MARIKINA – Grateful doctors and frontliners of Amang Rodriguez Medical Center in Marikina accepts the PPEs and Medical Supplies donation from SM Foundation.
Other hospitals who were also recipient of the said donations in Cavite are General Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital, Binakayan Hospital and Medical Center, San Pedro Calungsod Medical Center-Kawit, and De La Salle-Dasma Hospital, while three hospitals in Rizal including Manila East Medical Center-Taytay, Marikina Valley Medical Center and Amang Rodriguez Medical Center – Marikina received the same donations as well.
Other initiatives of the SM Group in response to the crisis are the waived rentals of all tenants of SM Supermalls nationwide, continued compensation of employees, and the extension of an Emergency Financial Assistance to its front liners, security guards and janitorial staff during the Enhanced Community Quarantine period.
